Common applications
A long strip wraps around a soap bar or a stack of products as a band.
Tumblers and mason-style candle jars take a band that wraps the vessel, so the scent name shows from every side.
A long label wraps all the way around a round bottle or jar, with the front design on one side and the details on the back.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

That is about 10% more label area than the 2.5 × 7 in rectangle. The label covers about 19.25 sq in (70 × 178 mm) and has room for a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions.
Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 2.5 × 7.5 in, 3.5 × 5.5 in and one step larger: 3.25 × 6 in, 3 × 6.5 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

2.75 × 7 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
About $194.44 CAD for 1,000 ($0.194 each) and $128.62 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $518.49, or $0.104 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 440 to 1,100 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
Four stocks are available: matte (about $194.44 per 1,000 here), glossy ($206.11), clear ($221.67) and freezer grade ($237.22). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.
Plan for a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
The price per label falls as quantity goes up: about $0.514 each at 250, $0.194 at 1,000 and $0.104 at 5,000. For bigger runs, choose a custom quantity in the quote builder to see the exact total.
