Why it matters
Digital printing lets you change the scent name, colour and notes on every label with no extra plate costs, so a 12-scent range does not need 12 big runs.
Autumn, holiday and Valentine releases can run in a small run, then end, and you are not left with a box of outdated labels.
Gold foil and raised UV elevate the label without a new jar, helpful for markets, holiday fairs and wholesale lines.
Put burn instructions, warnings, weight and batch information on a clean bottom label, keeping the front label uncluttered.
A die-cut or rounded rectangle label is the usual choice for the front of the jar, with a round label on the lid or bottom for burn time, scent notes and safety text. Pick matte for a modern look and add foil or raised UV where you want a hand-finished touch.
Test your label on one finished candle before ordering a whole run. Check that the colour contrast works on both light and dark wax, and that the label edge does not meet the lid seam or the curve of the glass.

Candle Labels FAQ
Labels should sit on the side of the container, away from the flame and the wick. A jar wall gets warm as a candle burns, so test a short run on your own jars and burn it to see how the label holds up.
Many candle makers include burn and safety warnings, and some retailers require them. Standards and requirements differ by market, so check what applies to your candles and where you will sell them, and include that text in your artwork.
If you apply labels by hand in small batches, sheet labels peel easily and store flat. For larger weekly runs or a dispenser, roll labels are faster. Both print on the same waterproof BOPP stock.
