It has roughly 11% more space than a 1.5 × 4.5 in rectangle. Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 2.5 × 3 in, 2 × 3.75 in and one step larger: 1.25 × 6 in, 2 × 4 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. There is room for hierarchy here: one large element, one medium line and small supporting text.

1.5 × 5 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $128.40 CAD, 1,000 about $137.51 and 5,000 about $275.78 ($0.055 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 620 to 1,900 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
At about 7.50 sq in, think a brand, product name and a few lines such as flavour, weight or a short description. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 1.5 × 5 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 5 in length covers one about 1.6 in across, leaving a small gap.
About 38 × 127 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
