Common applications
Narrow labels for binder spines, archive boxes and book spines carry a title, date range or catalogue number.

Long narrow strips run along shelf edges, bin fronts and drawers with a product name, location or price.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

1.25 × 6 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
About $138.94 CAD for 1,000 ($0.139 each) and $128.79 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $283.24, or $0.057 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 520 to 2,300 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Four stocks are available: matte (about $138.94 per 1,000 here), glossy ($147.27), clear ($158.39) and freezer grade ($169.50). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.
Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 1.25 in by 6 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (6 in) covers a round container of about 1.9 in diameter with a small gap.
About 32 × 152 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
