Designing a 1.25 in circle label

How do I know a 1.25 in circle fits my lid?+
Measure the flat part of the lid, not the outside rim. A 1.25 in circle sits comfortably on a flat area of about 1.5 in (38 mm) or more, which leaves roughly 1/8 in all round. If the flat area is smaller, look at the next size down.
Circle or square at 1.25 in?+
On rolls they cost the same, because shape is not priced. A 1.25 in circle gives about 1.23 sq in of label against 1.56 sq in for a 1.25 × 1.25 in square, so pick the square if you need the corners for text and the circle for lids and seals.
