Common applications
Round tins take a tall side label or a lid label with the blend name and steeping notes.
Back labels for ingredient lists, directions and warnings on bottles and jars.
A long strip wraps around a soap bar or a stack of products as a band.

Put the brand on the top third and the details below; on narrow strips run the name along the long side. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

2 × 4.5 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
About $146.64 CAD for 1,000 ($0.147 each) and $129.24 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $321.99, or $0.064 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 690 to 1,500 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 2 × 4.5 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 4.5 in length covers one about 1.5 in across, leaving a small gap.
At about 9.00 sq in, think a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
Yes. Per label, expect about $0.517 at 250, $0.147 at 1,000 and $0.064 at 5,000. Choose Custom quantity in the quote builder for anything larger.
