Designing a 2.25 × 4 in rectangle label

Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

2.25 × 4 in rectangle labels FAQ

Common
questions.

Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.

How much do 2.25 × 4 in rectangle labels cost?+

On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $128.69 CAD, 1,000 about $144.57 and 5,000 about $311.05 ($0.062 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.

How many 2.25 × 4 in labels come on a roll?+

We wind rolls to your order. As a guide, a single-lane roll of 2.25 × 4 in rectangle labels on a 3 in core and up to 6 in across holds about 770 to 1,300 labels. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Larger orders are split over several rolls. If your dispenser or applicator needs a specific core, roll size or count per roll, add a note to your order.

Which material should I choose for 2.25 × 4 in rectangle labels?+

Matte BOPP is our default (about $144.57 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $153.24, clear about $164.81 and freezer grade about $176.37 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.

Can I order 4 × 2.25 in instead of 2.25 × 4 in?+

It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.

Will a 2.25 × 4 in label fit my bottle or jar?+

Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 2.25 in by 4 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (4 in) covers a round container of about 1.3 in diameter with a small gap.

How much text fits on a 2.25 × 4 in label?+

Plan for a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
