Common applications

Equipment, machines and products get a large label with directions, safety notes or a diagram.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 3.75 × 7 in, 3.5 × 7.5 in and one step larger: 3 × 9 in, 5 × 5.5 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. Large labels are easy to overfill; group information into blocks and keep the brand clear from a distance.

About $270.26 CAD for 1,000 ($0.270 each) and $141.30 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $773.92, or $0.155 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
We wind rolls to your order. As a guide, a single-lane roll of 4.5 × 6 in rectangle labels on a 3 in core and up to 6 in across holds about 520 to 690 labels. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Larger orders are split over several rolls. If your dispenser or applicator needs a specific core, roll size or count per roll, add a note to your order.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Plan for a full panel with directions, nutrition facts or a long ingredient list plus a barcode. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
Four stocks are available: matte (about $270.26 per 1,000 here), glossy ($286.48), clear ($308.10) and freezer grade ($329.72). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.
About 114 × 152 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
