Common applications
A large round or square on the lid of a food box carries the brand and sometimes the order or flavour.
Flat-bottom and stand-up bags need a front label big enough for roast or flavour, origin and weight.
Tubs and takeout containers often get a lid label with the product name, date or allergens.
Hand out stickers at events, add them to orders or sell them; bigger sizes get stuck on laptops and bottles.
Plain boxes become retail packaging with a front label carrying the brand and product name.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Between sizes? Compare square labels one step smaller: 3.25 × 3.25 in, 3.5 × 3.5 in and one step larger: 4 × 4 in, 4.5 × 4.5 in, or browse all label sizes.
A thin border close to the edge will show any small shift in the cut; keep borders thicker or leave them out. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

Four stocks are available: matte (about $168.86 per 1,000 here), glossy ($178.99), clear ($192.50) and freezer grade ($206.00). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.
At about 14.06 sq in, think a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
Same price on rolls. The 3.75 × 3.75 in square gives 14.06 sq in against about 11.04 sq in for a 3.75 in circle, about 27% more room for text, while the circle sits more neatly on round lids.
The price per label falls as quantity goes up: about $0.516 each at 250, $0.169 at 1,000 and $0.085 at 5,000. For bigger runs, choose a custom quantity in the quote builder to see the exact total.
