2 × 3 in oval labels FAQ

Common
questions.

Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.

What does an order of 2 × 3 in oval labels cost?+

On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $127.57 CAD, 1,000 about $132.52 and 5,000 about $245.07 ($0.049 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.

How many 2 × 3 in oval labels fit on one roll?+

Typically about 1,000 to 1,500 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.

Oval or rectangle at 2 × 3 in?+

They are the same price on rolls. A 2 × 3 in oval has about 4.71 sq in of label compared with 6.00 sq in for the rectangle, so plan a centred badge layout and keep long lines away from the narrow ends.

Which material should I choose for 2 × 3 in oval labels?+

Matte BOPP is our default (about $132.52 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $140.47, clear about $151.07 and freezer grade about $161.67 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.

Can I order 3 × 2 in instead of 2 × 3 in?+

It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.

What can I fit on a 2 × 3 in oval label?+

At about 4.71 sq in, think a brand, product name and a few lines such as flavour, weight or a short description. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
