Common applications
1 to 5 gallon pails and large tubs need a big front or lid label with the product name, contents and handling notes.
Logos, opening hours and promotions on doors, windows and display cases; waterproof BOPP stands up to cleaning.
Large labels turn boards, menus and display stands into printed signs without a separate print shop.
Bakery boxes for cakes and pies have a large flat lid for a big round or square brand label.
A large label on the lid of a mailer or subscription box turns a plain box into branded packaging.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Curved text along the top or bottom edge reads well on a circle; keep it inside the safe area so it is not trimmed by the cut. Large labels are easy to overfill; group information into blocks and keep the brand clear from a distance.

Expect roughly $554.44 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.554 per label; 250 come to about $205.08. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.
Typically about 390 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
Matte BOPP is our default (about $554.44 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $587.71, clear about $632.07 and freezer grade about $676.42 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.
On rolls they cost the same, because shape is not priced. A 8 in circle gives about 50.27 sq in of label against 64.00 sq in for a 8 × 8 in square, so pick the square if you need the corners for text and the circle for lids and seals.
Plan on a flat area of about 8.25 in (210 mm) across or more, such as a pail lid, box top, door or window. A circle this large should go on a flat or very gently curved surface; on a tight curve the edges can lift.
Plan for a full panel with directions, nutrition facts or a long ingredient list plus a barcode. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
