Common applications
Big labels on pallets, master cartons and totes show contents, destination and lot number from a distance.
Logos, opening hours and promotions on doors, windows and display cases; waterproof BOPP stands up to cleaning.
Large labels turn boards, menus and display stands into printed signs without a separate print shop.
Feed, soil, coffee and flour bags need a large label with the product, weight and batch.
1 to 5 gallon pails and large tubs need a big front or lid label with the product name, contents and handling notes.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

about $572.75 for 1,000As a sign-size classic rectangle, 7 × 12 in suits pallet and master-carton labels, window, door and display stickers and similar jobs. Compared with 6.5 × 12 in, it adds about 8% more room. The label covers about 84.00 sq in (178 × 305 mm) and has room for sign-style artwork: big graphics readable from across a room, or a full sheet of instructions, specs or a diagram.
Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 8 × 10 in, 7.5 × 11 in and one step larger: 8 × 11 in, 9 × 10 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. Design at full size and check it from a few steps back: headline text should be large enough to read at a distance, and images need enough resolution for the print size (about 300 dpi at final size).

7 × 12 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
Expect roughly $502.41 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.502 per label; 250 come to about $201.53. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.
Typically about 260 to 440 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 7 in by 12 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (12 in) covers a round container of about 3.9 in diameter with a small gap.
Plan for sign-style artwork: big graphics readable from across a room, or a full sheet of instructions, specs or a diagram. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
The price per label falls as quantity goes up: about $0.806 each at 250, $0.502 at 1,000 and $0.265 at 5,000. For bigger runs, choose a custom quantity in the quote builder to see the exact total.
