Common applications
32 and 64 oz growlers and jugs need a large wraparound or front label.
A 4 x 6 in footprint is the common size for courier and postage labels on parcels.
A large round or square on the lid of a food box carries the brand and sometimes the order or flavour.
Big circles, squares and rectangles make bold merch stickers for laptops, coolers, cases and toolboxes.
Large labels on cartons, cases and bulk bags carry contents, batch and handling information.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

It has roughly 6% more space than a 4 × 6 in rectangle. Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 2.75 × 9 in, 2.5 × 10 in and one step larger: 4 × 6.5 in, 3.25 × 8 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. Large labels are easy to overfill; group information into blocks and keep the brand clear from a distance.

4.25 × 6 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
Expect roughly $267.37 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.267 per label; 250 come to about $141.19. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 520 to 730 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Plan for a full panel with directions, nutrition facts or a long ingredient list plus a barcode. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 4.25 × 6 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 6 in length covers one about 1.9 in across, leaving a small gap.
4.25 × 6 in is about 108 × 152 mm. You can switch the quote builder to centimetres and enter the size in cm if your packaging is specified in metric.
