Common applications
A long label wraps all the way around a round bottle or jar, with the front design on one side and the details on the back.
Tumblers and mason-style candle jars take a band that wraps the vessel, so the scent name shows from every side.
Equipment, machines and products get a large label with directions, safety notes or a diagram.
A long strip wraps around a soap bar or a stack of products as a band.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. Large labels are easy to overfill; group information into blocks and keep the brand clear from a distance.

3 × 7.5 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $135.37 CAD, 1,000 about $236.28 and 5,000 about $679.25 ($0.136 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 410 to 1,000 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
At about 22.50 sq in, think a full panel with directions, nutrition facts or a long ingredient list plus a barcode. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 3 × 7.5 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 7.5 in length covers one about 2.4 in across, leaving a small gap.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
3 × 7.5 in is about 76 × 190 mm. You can switch the quote builder to centimetres and enter the size in cm if your packaging is specified in metric.
