Common applications
Treat bags and jars take a front label with the flavour, weight and feeding guide.
Flat-bottom and stand-up bags need a front label big enough for roast or flavour, origin and weight.
A separate back label carries the nutrition table, ingredients and allergens so the front can stay clean.
A long strip wraps around a soap bar or a stack of products as a band.
Equipment, machines and products get a large label with directions, safety notes or a diagram.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Not quite right? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 2.5 × 7 in, 4 × 4.5 in and one step larger: 2.25 × 8 in, 2 × 9 in, or browse all label sizes.
Decide on portrait or landscape first; the quote builder prices both the same, and the unwind direction sets how the roll comes off. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

3 × 6 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $132.82 CAD, 1,000 about $204.31 and 5,000 about $580.73 ($0.116 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.
Typically about 520 to 1,000 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
Plan for a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
About 76 × 152 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
The smallest quantity is 100 labels, and orders have a $50 minimum. 100 of these come to about $129.73, already above the minimum, so a short run is fine.
