Common applications
A long strip wraps around a soap bar or a stack of products as a band.
Narrow labels for binder spines, archive boxes and book spines carry a title, date range or catalogue number.
A narrow band wraps a skein or ball of yarn with fibre content, weight and care notes.
Round tins take a tall side label or a lid label with the blend name and steeping notes.
Tumblers and mason-style candle jars take a band that wraps the vessel, so the scent name shows from every side.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 2.5 × 5.5 in, 3.5 × 4 in and one step larger: 3.75 × 4 in, 3 × 5 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

2 × 7 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
Expect roughly $171.93 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.172 per label; 250 come to about $129.76. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 440 to 1,500 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 2 × 7 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 7 in length covers one about 2.3 in across, leaving a small gap.
Yes. Enter the width and height the way your artwork reads; 2 × 7 and 7 × 2 in are the same price. For rolls, also pick the unwind direction so labels come off the roll the right way up for your product or applicator.
The smallest quantity is 100 labels, and orders have a $50 minimum. 100 of these come to about $126.71, already above the minimum, so a short run is fine.
At about 14.00 sq in, think a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
