It has roughly 8% more space than a 1 × 6.5 in rectangle. The label covers about 7.00 sq in (25 × 178 mm) and has room for a brand, product name and a few lines such as flavour, weight or a short description.
Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 2 × 3.5 in, 1.75 × 4 in and one step larger: 2.5 × 3 in, 2 × 3.75 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. There is room for hierarchy here: one large element, one medium line and small supporting text.

1 × 7 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $128.48 CAD, 1,000 about $136.47 and 5,000 about $269.60 ($0.054 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.
Typically about 440 to 2,800 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
Plan for a brand, product name and a few lines such as flavour, weight or a short description. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 1 × 7 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 7 in length covers one about 2.3 in across, leaving a small gap.
About 25 × 178 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
