Is 1 × 2.5 in the right size?

1 x 2.5 in gives a little more length than 1 x 2 for narrow tubes, roller bottles and spice tins with a short name. The label covers about 2.50 sq in (25 × 64 mm) and has room for a logo plus a product name, or two or three short lines of text.

Need a little more or less room? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 0.75 × 3 in, 1.25 × 2 in and one step larger: 1.5 × 1.75 in, 0.75 × 3.5 in, or browse all label sizes.

Designing a 1 × 2.5 in rectangle label

Put the brand on the top third and the details below; on narrow strips run the name along the long side. Small labels need bold, simple artwork: a strong logo and short words read better than a list.

1 × 2.5 in rectangle labels FAQ

Common
questions.

Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.

What does an order of 1 × 2.5 in rectangle labels cost?+

Expect roughly $127.35 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.127 per label; 250 come to about $115.95. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.

How many 1 × 2.5 in labels come on a roll?+

We wind rolls to your order. As a guide, a single-lane roll of 1 × 2.5 in rectangle labels on a 3 in core and up to 6 in across holds about 1,200 to 2,800 labels. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Larger orders are split over several rolls. If your dispenser or applicator needs a specific core, roll size or count per roll, add a note to your order.

Can I order 2.5 × 1 in instead of 1 × 2.5 in?+

It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.

Will a 1 × 2.5 in label fit my bottle or jar?+

Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 1 in by 2.5 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (2.5 in) covers a round container of about 0.8 in diameter with a small gap.

What materials are available for 1 × 2.5 in labels?+

Four stocks are available: matte (about $127.35 per 1,000 here), glossy ($134.99), clear ($145.18) and freezer grade ($155.36). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.

What is 1 × 2.5 in in millimetres?+

About 25 × 64 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
