Common applications
Trial sizes, sachets and sample cards need a small label with the product name and a short line of copy.
A neat badge on a ring box, earring card or gift pouch keeps the presentation simple and branded.
Close envelopes, invitations and thank-you cards with a branded seal instead of tape.
Salve, balm and mint tins usually have a round or square lid with a flat area just big enough for a compact label.
Add your logo to plain boxes, bags, tissue and mailers so stock packaging looks custom.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

about $144.59 for 1,000The extra quarter inch over a 1 in square gives a logo some breathing room or space for a short line of text underneath. The label covers about 1.56 sq in (32 × 32 mm) and has room for a logo plus a product name, or two or three short lines of text.
Need a little more or less room? Compare square labels one step smaller: 0.75 × 0.75 in, 1 × 1 in and one step larger: 1.5 × 1.5 in, 1.75 × 1.75 in, or browse all label sizes.
A thin border close to the edge will show any small shift in the cut; keep borders thicker or leave them out. Small labels need bold, simple artwork: a strong logo and short words read better than a list.

1.25 × 1.25 in square labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
About $126.83 CAD for 1,000 ($0.127 each) and $111.22 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $131.25, or $0.026 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
Typically about 2,300 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
1.25 × 1.25 in is about 32 × 32 mm. You can switch the quote builder to centimetres and enter the size in cm if your packaging is specified in metric.
At about 1.56 sq in, think a logo plus a product name, or two or three short lines of text. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 1.25 × 1.25 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 1.25 in length covers one about 0.4 in across, leaving a small gap.
Same price on rolls. The 1.25 × 1.25 in square gives 1.56 sq in against about 1.23 sq in for a 1.25 in circle, about 27% more room for text, while the circle sits more neatly on round lids.
