That is about 11% more label area than the 2.5 × 4.5 in rectangle. Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 2 × 6 in, 1.5 × 8 in and one step larger: 1.25 × 10 in, 3 × 4.25 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

2.5 × 5 in rectangle labels FAQ

About $164.55 CAD for 1,000 ($0.165 each) and $129.54 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $407.06, or $0.081 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
Typically about 620 to 1,200 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
Four stocks are available: matte (about $164.55 per 1,000 here), glossy ($174.42), clear ($187.58) and freezer grade ($200.75). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.
Yes. Enter the width and height the way your artwork reads; 2.5 × 5 and 5 × 2.5 in are the same price. For rolls, also pick the unwind direction so labels come off the roll the right way up for your product or applicator.
Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 2.5 in by 5 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (5 in) covers a round container of about 1.6 in diameter with a small gap.
Plan for a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
