Common applications
Mark sample sets, stock bins, files or test batches with a colour or a single letter so they can be sorted at a glance.
Small rounds sit on the caps of sample vials, perfume testers and tiny jars, where a full label would not fit.
Very small squares and circles seal sample bags, mark dates or close small boxes without covering the packaging.
A small round or square on the lid of a lip balm tube or tin carries your logo where people see it first.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Centre the main element. Circles are cut on a round die, so anything near the edge is the first thing to look off-centre. At this size keep the design to one or two elements and avoid fine lines and very small type.

0.5 in circle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
About $108.47 CAD for 1,000 ($0.108 each) and $127.51 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $125.11, or $0.025 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
We wind rolls to your order. As a guide, a single-lane roll of 0.5 in circle labels on a 3 in core and up to 6 in across holds about 5,100 labels. Larger orders are split over several rolls. If your dispenser or applicator needs a specific core, roll size or count per roll, add a note to your order.
On rolls they cost the same, because shape is not priced. A 0.5 in circle gives about 0.20 sq in of label against 0.25 sq in for a 0.5 × 0.5 in square, so pick the square if you need the corners for text and the circle for lids and seals.
About 13 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
Measure the flat part of the lid, not the outside rim. A 0.5 in circle sits comfortably on a flat area of about 0.75 in (19 mm) or more, which leaves roughly 1/8 in all round. If the flat area is smaller, look at the next size down.
At about 0.20 sq in, think a logo, an initial, a colour or a short code; small text is hard to read at this size. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
