Common applications
Logos, opening hours and promotions on doors, windows and display cases; waterproof BOPP stands up to cleaning.
1 to 5 gallon pails and large tubs need a big front or lid label with the product name, contents and handling notes.
A large label on the lid of a mailer or subscription box turns a plain box into branded packaging.
Big labels on pallets, master cartons and totes show contents, destination and lot number from a distance.
Equipment, machines and products get a large label with directions, safety notes or a diagram.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

7 × 7 in square labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
About $498.23 CAD for 1,000 ($0.498 each) and $190.30 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $1,403.53, or $0.281 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 440 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
At about 49.00 sq in, think a full panel with directions, nutrition facts or a long ingredient list plus a barcode. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
Four stocks are available: matte (about $498.23 per 1,000 here), glossy ($528.12), clear ($567.98) and freezer grade ($607.84). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.
Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 7 in by 7 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (7 in) covers a round container of about 2.3 in diameter with a small gap.
7 × 7 in is about 178 × 178 mm. You can switch the quote builder to centimetres and enter the size in cm if your packaging is specified in metric.
