Decide on portrait or landscape first; the quote builder prices both the same, and the unwind direction sets how the roll comes off. Large labels are easy to overfill; group information into blocks and keep the brand clear from a distance.

4.5 × 8 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
Expect roughly $333.35 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.333 per label; 250 come to about $153.50. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.
Typically about 390 to 690 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
Plan for a full panel with directions, nutrition facts or a long ingredient list plus a barcode. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.
Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 4.5 in by 8 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (8 in) covers a round container of about 2.6 in diameter with a small gap.
Yes. Enter the width and height the way your artwork reads; 4.5 × 8 and 8 × 4.5 in are the same price. For rolls, also pick the unwind direction so labels come off the roll the right way up for your product or applicator.
About 114 × 203 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
