Common applications
A small strip or oval on the neck of a bottle adds a vintage, flavour or batch number.
A slim rectangle carries your name and return address on envelopes and mailers.
10 ml roller bottles and slim tubes need a narrow label that wraps without overlapping the dispensing end.
Short codes, prices and batch or lot numbers you add to products and shelves in small text.
Narrow strips label tubes, vials and sample bags with codes or dates that need to survive handling and moisture.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 1.5 × 1.75 in, 0.75 × 3.5 in and one step larger: 1.25 × 2.25 in, 1.5 × 2 in, or browse all label sizes.
Put the brand on the top third and the details below; on narrow strips run the name along the long side. Small labels need bold, simple artwork: a strong logo and short words read better than a list.

1 × 2.75 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $116.92 CAD, 1,000 about $127.06 and 5,000 about $151.39 ($0.030 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.
Typically about 1,100 to 2,800 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Four stocks are available: matte (about $127.06 per 1,000 here), glossy ($134.69), clear ($144.85) and freezer grade ($155.02). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.
Quantities start at 100 labels and every order has a $50 minimum. At this size 100 labels already come to about $108.71, so the minimum does not change your price; most of a small order is the fixed set-up part, which is why the price per label drops quickly as you order more.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 1 × 2.75 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 2.75 in length covers one about 0.9 in across, leaving a small gap.
