Decide on portrait or landscape first; the quote builder prices both the same, and the unwind direction sets how the roll comes off. There is room for hierarchy here: one large element, one medium line and small supporting text.

1.25 × 5.5 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
Expect roughly $135.36 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.135 per label; 250 come to about $128.24. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 560 to 2,300 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 1.25 × 5.5 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 5.5 in length covers one about 1.8 in across, leaving a small gap.
Matte BOPP is our default (about $135.36 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $143.48, clear about $154.31 and freezer grade about $165.14 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.
At about 6.88 sq in, think a brand, product name and a few lines such as flavour, weight or a short description. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
