Mailer and subscription box tops
A large label on the lid of a mailer or subscription box turns a plain box into branded packaging.
Rectangle labels · Printed in Kitchener, ON
Choose 7 × 7.5 in when you need an extra-large near-square rectangle; it works well for mailer and subscription box tops and pails, buckets and large tubs. That is about 8% more label area than the 6.5 × 7.5 in rectangle. On rolls in matte BOPP, expect about $499.30 for 1,000, with a free proof before anything prints.

Common applications
A large label on the lid of a mailer or subscription box turns a plain box into branded packaging.
1 to 5 gallon pails and large tubs need a big front or lid label with the product name, contents and handling notes.
Logos, opening hours and promotions on doors, windows and display cases; waterproof BOPP stands up to cleaning.
Feed, soil, coffee and flour bags need a large label with the product, weight and batch.
Big labels on pallets, master cartons and totes show contents, destination and lot number from a distance.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

That is about 8% more label area than the 6.5 × 7.5 in rectangle. The label covers about 52.50 sq in (178 × 190 mm) and has room for a full panel with directions, nutrition facts or a long ingredient list plus a barcode.
Between sizes? Compare rectangle labels one step smaller: 4.25 × 12 in, 6.5 × 8 in and one step larger: 6 × 9 in, 4.5 × 12 in, or browse all label sizes.
Leave the right edge clear if the label wraps a bottle, so the overlap or gap does not cut through text. Large labels are easy to overfill; group information into blocks and keep the brand clear from a distance.

7 × 7.5 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
Expect roughly $499.30 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.499 per label; 250 come to about $190.99. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.
Typically about 410 to 440 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Matte BOPP is our default (about $499.30 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $529.26, clear about $569.20 and freezer grade about $609.15 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.
The price per label falls as quantity goes up: about $0.764 each at 250, $0.499 at 1,000 and $0.277 at 5,000. For bigger runs, choose a custom quantity in the quote builder to see the exact total.
Quantities start at 100 labels and every order has a $50 minimum. At this size 100 labels already come to about $139.67, so the minimum does not change your price; most of a small order is the fixed set-up part, which is why the price per label drops quickly as you order more.
