Common applications
Bakery boxes for cakes and pies have a large flat lid for a big round or square brand label.
A large label on the lid of a mailer or subscription box turns a plain box into branded packaging.
Logos, opening hours and promotions on doors, windows and display cases; waterproof BOPP stands up to cleaning.
1 to 5 gallon pails and large tubs need a big front or lid label with the product name, contents and handling notes.
Big circles, squares and rectangles make bold merch stickers for laptops, coolers, cases and toolboxes.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Between sizes? Compare circle labels one step smaller: 4.5 in, 5 in and one step larger: 6 in, 7 in, or browse all label sizes.
If your logo is wider than it is tall, scale it so it clears the curve on both sides, not just the top and bottom. Large labels are easy to overfill; group information into blocks and keep the brand clear from a distance.

5.5 in circle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
Expect roughly $263.17 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.263 per label; 250 come to about $138.86. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.
Typically about 560 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
Plan on a flat area of about 5.75 in (146 mm) across or more, such as a pail lid, box top, door or window. A circle this large should go on a flat or very gently curved surface; on a tight curve the edges can lift.
Quantities start at 100 labels and every order has a $50 minimum. At this size 100 labels already come to about $128.48, so the minimum does not change your price; most of a small order is the fixed set-up part, which is why the price per label drops quickly as you order more.
On rolls they cost the same, because shape is not priced. A 5.5 in circle gives about 23.76 sq in of label against 30.25 sq in for a 5.5 × 5.5 in square, so pick the square if you need the corners for text and the circle for lids and seals.
Four stocks are available: matte (about $263.17 per 1,000 here), glossy ($278.96), clear ($300.01) and freezer grade ($321.07). Pick glossy for brighter colour, clear for glass and clear plastic, and freezer grade for anything stored cold.
