Common applications
A long strip wraps around a soap bar or a stack of products as a band.
Capsule and powder bottles need a wide label for the product name, dosage and supplement facts.
A separate back label carries the nutrition table, ingredients and allergens so the front can stay clean.
Narrow labels for binder spines, archive boxes and book spines carry a title, date range or catalogue number.
Round tins take a tall side label or a lid label with the blend name and steeping notes.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Put the brand on the top third and the details below; on narrow strips run the name along the long side. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

2.5 × 6 in rectangle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
About $177.38 CAD for 1,000 ($0.177 each) and $130.13 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $466.05, or $0.093 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.
Typically about 520 to 1,200 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.
At about 15.00 sq in, think a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.
Matte BOPP is our default (about $177.38 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $188.02, clear about $202.21 and freezer grade about $216.40 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.
It is the same label turned 90 degrees, and the price is identical. Type the size the way your artwork reads (portrait or landscape), then choose the unwind direction that suits how you apply the labels.
Check the straight wall, not the curved shoulder or base: you need at least 2.5 × 6 in of flat or gently curved surface. Wrapped around a round container, a 6 in length covers one about 1.9 in across, leaving a small gap.
