Designing a 2.5 × 4 in rectangle label

Put the brand on the top third and the details below; on narrow strips run the name along the long side. A label this big can carry the whole story, but leave white space so the product name still stands out.

2.5 × 4 in rectangle labels FAQ

Common
questions.

Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.

How much are 1,000 2.5 × 4 in rectangle labels?+

Expect roughly $151.94 CAD for 1,000 matte roll labels at this size, which works out to $0.152 per label; 250 come to about $129.37. The table above lists more quantities. Your exact price, with standard shipping, appears in the quote builder as soon as you set the quantity.

How many 2.5 × 4 in labels come on a roll?+

Typically about 770 to 1,200 per roll, based on one lane of labels on a 3 in core wound up to 6 in across. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Bigger orders ship on more than one roll, and you can ask for a set count per roll in your order notes.

Is 2.5 × 4 in the same as 4 × 2.5 in?+

Yes. Enter the width and height the way your artwork reads; 2.5 × 4 and 4 × 2.5 in are the same price. For rolls, also pick the unwind direction so labels come off the roll the right way up for your product or applicator.

What can I fit on a 2.5 × 4 in rectangle label?+

Plan for a full front label with a description, or a back label with ingredients and directions. Keep important text and logos a little inside the cut line (about 1/16 in, 1.5 mm, is a good rule of thumb) and use a background that runs past the edge as bleed.

What materials are available for 2.5 × 4 in labels?+

Matte BOPP is our default (about $151.94 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $161.06, clear about $173.22 and freezer grade about $185.37 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.

Will a 2.5 × 4 in label fit my bottle or jar?+

Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 2.5 in by 4 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (4 in) covers a round container of about 1.3 in diameter with a small gap.
