1 × 2.25 in is a compact tall rectangle, sized for jobs like price, SKU and batch stickers and roller bottles and narrow tubes. Compared with 1 × 2 in, it adds about 12% more room. Designing a 1 × 2.25 in rectangle label

Decide on portrait or landscape first; the quote builder prices both the same, and the unwind direction sets how the roll comes off. Small labels need bold, simple artwork: a strong logo and short words read better than a list.

1 × 2.25 in rectangle labels FAQ

Common
questions.

Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.

What does an order of 1 × 2.25 in rectangle labels cost?+

On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $114.81 CAD, 1,000 about $127.36 and 5,000 about $142.18 ($0.028 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.

How many 1 × 2.25 in labels come on a roll?+

We wind rolls to your order. As a guide, a single-lane roll of 1 × 2.25 in rectangle labels on a 3 in core and up to 6 in across holds about 1,300 to 2,800 labels. The range depends on whether the long or short side runs along the roll, which follows the unwind direction you choose. Larger orders are split over several rolls. If your dispenser or applicator needs a specific core, roll size or count per roll, add a note to your order.

Can I order 2.25 × 1 in instead of 1 × 2.25 in?+

Yes. Enter the width and height the way your artwork reads; 1 × 2.25 and 2.25 × 1 in are the same price. For rolls, also pick the unwind direction so labels come off the roll the right way up for your product or applicator.

Which material should I choose for 1 × 2.25 in rectangle labels?+

Matte BOPP is our default (about $127.36 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $135.00, clear about $145.19 and freezer grade about $155.38 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.

How much text fits on a 1 × 2.25 in label?+

At about 2.25 sq in, think a logo plus a product name, or two or three short lines of text. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.

Will a 1 × 2.25 in label fit my bottle or jar?+

Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 1 in by 2.25 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (2.25 in) covers a round container of about 0.8 in diameter with a small gap.
