1.5 × 5.5 in rectangle labels FAQ

Common
questions.

Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.

What does an order of 1.5 × 5.5 in rectangle labels cost?+

About $140.94 CAD for 1,000 ($0.141 each) and $128.59 for 250, on matte roll stock. At 5,000 the total is about $293.30, or $0.059 per label. These are approximate prices from our live price list as of October 6, 2026; the quote builder shows your exact price, including standard shipping, before you add to cart.

How many 1.5 × 5.5 in labels come on a roll?+

We wind rolls to your order. As a guide, a single-lane roll of 1.5 × 5.5 in rectangle labels on a 3 in core and up to 6 in across holds about 560 to 1,900 labels. Where you land in that range depends on the unwind direction: the long side running along the roll gives fewer labels per roll. Larger orders are split over several rolls. If your dispenser or applicator needs a specific core, roll size or count per roll, add a note to your order.

What materials are available for 1.5 × 5.5 in labels?+

Matte BOPP is our default (about $140.94 for 1,000 at this size). Glossy is about $149.40, clear about $160.68 and freezer grade about $171.95 for the same 1,000. All of them are waterproof; choose freezer grade for cold or frozen products and clear for a no-label look.

Can I order 5.5 × 1.5 in instead of 1.5 × 5.5 in?+

Yes. Enter the width and height the way your artwork reads; 1.5 × 5.5 and 5.5 × 1.5 in are the same price. For rolls, also pick the unwind direction so labels come off the roll the right way up for your product or applicator.

How much text fits on a 1.5 × 5.5 in label?+

At about 8.25 sq in, think a brand, product name and a few lines such as flavour, weight or a short description. A good rule of thumb is to keep text about 1/16 in (1.5 mm) inside the cut line and run backgrounds past the edge.

Will a 1.5 × 5.5 in label fit my bottle or jar?+

Measure the flat or straight part of the container. The label needs a panel at least 1.5 in by 5.5 in, with a little margin. If you want it to wrap all the way around, the long side (5.5 in) covers a round container of about 1.8 in diameter with a small gap.
