Common applications
Salve, balm and mint tins usually have a round or square lid with a flat area just big enough for a compact label.
Add your logo to plain boxes, bags, tissue and mailers so stock packaging looks custom.
Round and oval labels mimic a wax seal for invitations, gift wrap and premium packaging.
1 to 2 oz cosmetic jars usually have a lid with room for a small round label.
Favour bags, boxes and mini jars look finished with a small label showing names, a date or a thank-you.
These are typical uses, not requirements. Measure your container first; the FAQ below shows how.

Centre the main element. Circles are cut on a round die, so anything near the edge is the first thing to look off-centre. Small labels need bold, simple artwork: a strong logo and short words read better than a list.

1.5 in circle labels FAQ
Prices and roll counts on this page are estimates. The quote builder gives your exact price before checkout, and every order starts with a free proof.
On matte rolls, 250 labels are about $114.75 CAD, 1,000 about $127.13 and 5,000 about $141.27 ($0.028 each). Prices are approximate, taken from our live price list on October 6, 2026. Enter your quantity in the quote builder for the exact total with standard shipping included.
Rolls are wound to order, so the count can be adjusted. Our guide figure is about 1,900 labels per single-lane roll, assuming a 3 in core and a roll up to 6 in across. Tell us in the order notes if your applicator needs something different.
On rolls they cost the same, because shape is not priced. A 1.5 in circle gives about 1.77 sq in of label against 2.25 sq in for a 1.5 × 1.5 in square, so pick the square if you need the corners for text and the circle for lids and seals.
Measure the flat part of the lid, not the outside rim. A 1.5 in circle sits comfortably on a flat area of about 1.75 in (44 mm) or more, which leaves roughly 1/8 in all round. If the flat area is smaller, look at the next size down.
The smallest quantity is 100 labels, and orders have a $50 minimum. 100 of these come to about $107.96, already above the minimum, so a short run is fine.
About 38 mm. If your packaging drawings are metric, switch the quote builder to CM and type the size directly.
